Part of every estate plan should include powers of attorney for health
care and financial (property along with a living will. These
documents help insure your desires are carried out. You appoint
individuals that make important decisions if you are unable to do so.

Probate courts oversee the administration of an individual’s property
after death if it was not in a proper trust. If you or a family member
die with or without a will, there will often be estate matters that
need to be handled. Changing the title of assets, distribution and
liquidation of assets, creditor claims and other matters often arise.
Final tax returns for a deceased individual need to be filed and
often the resulting estate or trust will be required to file tax returns.

Special or Supplemental Needs Trusts allow for assets to be held
for a child without disqualifying them for certain governmental, SSI
or Medicaid assistance. I can help to draft these trusts to protect
assets for your child.
